NCW Her Legal Guide
The National Commission for Women was set up as statutory body in January 1992 under the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 (Act No.20 of 1990 of Govt. of India) to review the Constitutional and legal safeguards for women; recommend remedial legislative measures, facilitate redressal of grievances and advise the Government on all policy matters affecting women.

National Commission for Women launched a Mobile Application for women “Her Legal Guide” on 9th November 2023 which is celebrated as Legal Services Day. The App focuses on various rights and statutes pertaining to women in India. The App will legally empower women with just a click. This Mobile App will act as a new friend of women in difficult situations and will aware them about their rights. It also contains details about the helplines pertaining to women. The Mobile Application is available both in English and Hindi. It was launched by Hon’ble Justice Dr. D.Y. Chandrachud on the occasion of Legal Services Day.
