The IT Cell of the National Commission for Women (NCW) is expected to provide technical support to the Commission and its staff across all digital aspects. The Commission utilizes Information Technology tools to ensure transparency in processes and to accelerate decision-making. The functions of the cell are aimed at enhancing efficiency, promoting transparency, and expanding digital outreach
- Technology Management
- Develop, maintain, and upgrade the NCW’s official website and digital platforms.
- Ensure the proper functioning of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networking.
- Support for Online Grievance Redressal
- Manage online complaint portals for women to report grievances and seek help.
- Ensure data security and confidentiality of complaints and user data.
- Monitor and resolve technical issues related to the grievance redressal system.
- Data Analytics and Reporting
- Collect and analyze data related to women’s issues for research and policymaking.
- Generate periodic reports on complaints received, cases resolved, and trends observed.
- Digital Outreach and Awareness
- Assist Media Cell to promote the NCW’s initiatives, policies, and programs through digital campaigns.
- Assist Media Cell to collaborate with social media platforms to spread awareness about women’s rights and safety.
- Cybersecurity and Data Protection
- Implement measures to secure NCW’s digital assets from cyber threats.
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws and government guidelines.
- Training and Capacity Building
- Organize training sessions for NCW staff on IT tools, data management, and cybersecurity.
- Conduct awareness programs for women about safe online practices and digital empowerment.
- Technical Support
- Provide technical support for webinars, conferences, and meetings.
- Assist in the implementation of e-governance initiatives within NCW.
- Monitoring and Evaluation
- Track the performance of digital platforms and initiatives.
- Implement improvements based on user feedback and performance metrics.
